About Angela Price-Stephens
Angela Price-Stephens is a lawyer with more than 25 years of experience in both the UK and across Canada and has a solid reputation as a strong litigator in some of the most complex and challenging areas of litigation. Angela is also an experienced mediator certified with Mediate BC and heads the Mediation Services Group at Pushor Mitchell LLP.
Her practice includes advising those who seek to challenge a will, to dispute their share of inheritance or to dispute the alleged reasons for disinheritance. She protects those vulnerable clients who are subjected to abuse by their committee or power of attorney and clients who have relied on promises of gifts which do not materialize upon the death of their loved one; disputes regarding property ownerships, joint bank accounts and trusts and various other claims arising under the Wills Variation Act and the Wills, Estates and Succession Act.
Angela is a member of the Canadian Bar Association’s Wills, Estates and Trust Section and attends the Kelowna Estate Planning Society’s events and is undertaking the Society for Trust and Estate Practitioners examinations.
Angela was born in England and attended business school before completing law school (1994). She emigrated to Canada in 2006 and relicensed at the bars of British Columbia and subsequently Alberta and Ontario. She has always been a litigator and focuses on finding a timely resolution to her client’s disputes in the least expensive manner, while achieving her client’s goals.
Angela is a highly trained and experienced mediator. She has acted as mentor to many young lawyers and accepted referrals from lawyers and acts as advisor or co-counsel to other lawyers across the country
Angela sits on the Board of Directors of the Canadian Mental Health Association, Kelowna and is a Director of Brain Trust Canada. She also provides her services to the Judiciary Advisory Committee, vetting candidates who apply to the Provincial Court Judiciary.
